Memory Dart of the Day: Mitchell Levy

*(what is a Memory Dart? A Memory Dart = your ideas distilled into sticky, compelling messages. It’s a little package of words or media that grabs attention and lights up the brain, leadning the listener to say, "Tell me more.")

When you’re in business for yourself, you have to toot your own horn - a lot (uncomfortably so…after decades in business, take my word for it)!

One of the best ways to do this is to provide outside validation - accomplishments, titles, awards, publications, etc. My pal Mitchell Levy does this quite well on LinkedIn.

Here’s how Mitchell presents an engaging front and deploys Memory Darts that grab your attention:

  1. Distinguishing, but fun and inviting picture: C’mon - the fellow’s a bit dashing, and look at that smile. OF COURSE you want to meet Mitchell.

  2. Intriguing key phrases: Global Credibility Expert. Leading the Future. Executive Abundance. International Bestseller. The overall first impression oozes expertise (as it is meant to).

  3. A tsunami of outside validation. Look at all that prestige-y organization- and name-dropping. Awards. Accomplishments. Too much street cred to ignore.

  4. A clear lane. Coaching. And, obviously, for top-level talent.

  5. And here’s a sweet curveball - his signature. There’s something powerful about “signing” your value proposition. You mean it.

Like all successful websites and professional profiles, you have to get to the point quickly and memorably. AI isn’t (yet) up to that task. That’s why consultants like Mitchell (and me) help people gain clarity.
